This week in the bay Peter and Alicen Elliott were fishing with Mom and Dad near the Ocean City airport and caught 4 keeper flounder 18" to 19" - 2 2 3/4lbs and 2 bluefish 19 to 19 1/2" -2 to 2 1/4lbs on live minnow. In the surf Chad Foster of Washing DC caught a 33" -13lb Rockfish on bunker and Jay Sivertsen of Piney PT, MD caught a 33"-16 1/2lbs Rockfish on fishbites bloodworms.I've heard of at least 3 other rockfish , bluefish, Sharks, and skates.
Hi!! Everyone. Last weekend fishing really picked up. Kingfish , bluefish, blackdrum, sharks, and skates were caught. Yesterday in the surf John foreman and Tanya Kuramshina caught 12 bluefish one was 34" the others were 18" to 20" on mullet. Another gentleman caught a few blues one was around 34" he said.
Yesterday at AI Diane Smack caught a 15" Blackdrum and Calvin Smack caught a 27" Rockfish I think they were caught on Fishbites. Flounder are still being caught south of Fronteirtown and Thoroughfare.
I'm so glad to see some fish being caught. Flounder are hitting between Fronteir Town and the Assateague Bridge. Today in the surf at AI George Trout of Millsboro caught three Rockfish all around 12" on bloodworms. Also a Flounder was caught on the beach.
Today Chris Miller from Littlestown, PA weighed in a 46" 23 1/2" girth, 35 1/2lb Rockfish From AI Surf caught on bunker.
